George White –
Tried these for the first time recently on teal at dusk.
Shot a box though a light side by side with improved cylinder / half choke. Was expecting a loud bang (32gms is a bit heavy for me) and a sore shoulder. So pleasantly surprised that they both worked and didn’t break anything!
Dressing some of the birds revealed more bleeding than you would expect from lead but didn’t affect the eating.
They seemed a little quicker than other steel cartridges I have tried.
If this is the future – perhaps it won’t be so bad.
Neil Maycock –
Tried a day on high Yorkshire Pheasants and these did the trick 1/4 imp cyl chokes killed birds equally as well as lead will be using them next season on everything
